Our Office of Dental Health annually compiles a list of dentists in Alameda County accepting new Medi-Cal Dental patients.
Family Support Care Coordinators
Family Support Care Coordinators from our Office of Dental Health help connect pregnant people and parents to low or no cost dental services for children and young adults through 20 years of age.

Medi-Cal Dental Program
The Medi-Cal Dental Program provides free or low-cost dental services to children and adults through Medi-Cal Health Insurance.

Need a ride to your dental appointment?
Medi-Cal offers two ways.
Medi-Cal's Non-Medical Transportation (NMT)
You can use Medi-Cal's Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) for dental or medical appointments covered by Medi-Cal. You can also use NMT to pick up prescriptions, medical supplies, or equipment.
- You will need to ask for a ride 5-10 days before your appointment.
- If you have many future appointments, your medical or dental provider can arrange transportation in advance for you.
For help with an NMT ride:
- If you are enrolled in a health plan, call your plan’s Member Services.

Medi-Cal's Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)
Medi-Cal offers NEMT services to members based on a medical need including:
- Wheelchair vans
- Litter vans
- Ambulances
- Air transportation
