School Based Dental Program

The Office of Dental Health provides free preventive dental sealant services to 2nd and 5th grade students enrolled in selected elementary schools in Berkeley. These services include; oral screenings, sealants, polishing, fluoride varnish, and individual oral health hygiene education. Parents or guardians must sign a consent form for their child to receive these free preventive oral health services.

The Oakland Student Smiles project provides comprehensive dental comprehensive dental health services include screening, fluoride varnish, sealants, fillings, simple extractions on-site at selected elementary schools within Oakland Unified School District. 

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in one of the selected elementary schools
