The Alameda County Healthy Teeth Healthy Communities (HTHC) project is a cross-sector collaboration that implements a county-wide dental health care coordination system to ensure Medi-Cal eligible children (ages 0 through 20) receive prevention and continuity of care services necessary to ensure their oral health.
The Office of Dental Health has partnered with numerous agencies to provide HTHC services to Alameda County residents. Currently, 27 Community Dental Care Coordinators (CDCCs) connect infants, children and youth to dentists through this project.
